Maria Conte, CEC, ERYT-200


Maria’s holistic approach has been an evolution of her own personal journey. She has over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry with over 12 years as a successful leader. Maria also has over 20 years of studying and practicing yoga. Her yoga practice and teaching style is inspired by Iyengar and the use of props.

Maria’s warmth and passion permeates in everything she does. Maria understands the demanding expectations and challenges her clients face; She coaches busy, successful leaders to leverage their strengths and take advantage of opportunities that will help them perform, while providing them with the tools and techniques to grow and develop their own teams.

Her approach with clients has been influenced by the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between personal and professional life. Whether Maria is on or off the mat, her passion to support and help clients find balance, success, happiness and reduce stress and to find their natural “flow’.

Maria Conte, CEC, ERYT-200 – Maria is a Certified Executive Coach and is a graduate in the Executive Coaching Program at Royal Roads University. She is a Certified Yoga Teacher ERYT-200 and is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. She is the founder of Conte Executive Coaching and Consulting Group Inc, located in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.

Team Building workshops a facilitated workshop offering a fun corporate team building experience with activities strengthening communication, relationship and teamwork.

Leadership Development workshops a facilitated workshop focusing on key aspects of leadership building on your strengths and identifying gaps.

Lunch and Learn workshops informative sessions offering your teams learning opportunities on various topics which may include time management, communication, healthy living and stress management.

CECCG will design a workshop or seminar with topics that specifically meet your organization's unique needs. The workshops are interactive, full of information and practical techniques; participants leave with strategies they can implement immediately.

Live Action Coaching

At times it can be helpful for the leader to have their coach observe them working with others. The coach can either choose to give the leader feedback after the session or do “live action coaching” with the leader during the meeting.

Many leaders find themselves in a reactive position waiting to get the information they need to reach their objectives. CECCG coaching is designed to put the leader in a position to pro-actively get the information they need to be successful. A key step is developing the competency to gather and integrate feedback from superiors and peers. In order to build those feedback skills we recommend that the client interview key stakeholders (e.g. senior management and/or peers) regularly. Ideally, the coach and client would co-design and conduct one or more interviews together during the coaching process.

Observations and live action coaching are very helpful in enhancing the leader’s ability to create committed and aligned action. The coach can support the leader to improve public speaking and or meeting leadership by attending a meeting the leader is hosting.

The coaching approach is to support the employee and manager through the transition cycle. Coaching assists employees to move from a state of resistance, through conscious awareness and the reality of change, to an informed state of acceptance and involvement.

Succession Development Coaching

The coaching approach is to explore and enhance the client’s competencies and the characteristics required for a future role within the organization. Aligning with the Organizations vision and understanding the skills that will be needed and a realistic understanding of existing staff and mobility (are there employees ready to step in).

Professional / Manager Coaching

The coaching approach facilitates gaining in-depth information to define the Client’s needs for development. It involves partnering to understand the requirements of the Clients’ current position and their role in the Organization. Key elements involve focusing on the Clients’ strengths, development areas and personal objectives as well as working with their development plan and learning objectives, action plans, outcomes and due dates.

Performance Coaching

The coaching approach focuses on the client achieving specific performance goals which may include improvement goals or “stretch” goals to build on recognized strengths. The focus is to work with the client on enhancing the way they perform in a specific area and clearly understand the expectations of the goals and the benefits to the Client and the Organization. The Coach will work with the client to remove any barriers limiting their performance.

The coaching approach examines current practices and identifies strengths that can be built upon quickly for maximum results.
